The lifting of mandatory COVID-19 screening tests to enter Canada for properly vaccinated travelers as of the 1er April risks creating an influx of travelers at airports.

“It’s already started again for many people, but now I think it’s going to be a deluge of travel,” says Andrew D’Amours, co-founder of Flytrippers, in an interview with Mario Dumont.

For him, this lifting of the measure is excellent news, especially since 80 countries welcome travelers without requiring a screening test on entry.

“There are plenty of countries that are open without testing, so you can go there without testing, you come back and you don’t need testing anymore. It’s as close to normal as we’ve been in two years,” said the co-founder of the company, which works in the travel industry.

Andrew D’Amours notes, according to statistics, that many Canadian travelers were still limited because of mandatory screening tests.

Now that the measure will be lifted, escape enthusiasts should reconnect with their passion, he believes.

“It’s really what they were waiting for to reconnect with the joy of travel and discover the world,” says Mr. D’Amours.
