Kal Penn has signed on to star in and produce a Hollywood film about Raptors superfan Nav Bhatia, according to an exclusive report Thursday night from Deadline.
Both Bhatia and Penn posted their reactions to the news on Instagram.
“The Superfan is heading to Hollywood !!!” the Etobicoke car salesman aware.
“I’m pinching myself. I have no idea what’s going on in this life of mine right now. I am lucky to continue sharing my story. @kalpenn. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for accepting this role. It is an honor that you play with me. “

Bhatia’s story about becoming a superfan is also covered in a CBC documentary called “Superfan: The Nav Bhatia Story,” scheduled to air Friday at 9pm on CBC.
