Increased capacity will strengthen economic recovery in Querétaro: Canaco


Queretaro, Qro. The capacity expansion allowed in the economic unitsstarting this Monday, February 28, will imply a strengthening of the Economic recovery local, as well as a rebound in business sales, explained the president of the National Chamber of Commerce, Services and Tourism (Canaco-Servytur) home, Fabian Camacho Arredondo.

After the announcement of Technical Committee for Attention to Covid-19, highlighted that this measure is a reflection of the decrease in infections in the framework of the fourth wave; in addition to providing greater sales possibilities in businesses.

“From the chamber of commerce we recognize as good news the modification of the scenario (…) It guarantees conditions in which the Queretaro businesses they can take better advantage of the possibilities to market, to boost their consumption and at the same time the citizens and consumers can have the possibilities of attending consumption centers with greater flexibility”, he declared.

In the same way, he added, opening scenarios are generated that guarantee the economic strengthening of the state, which will translate into greater commercialization possibilities for the third sector.

“This is important and we believe that it will have a positive impact on the increase in sales, until now we have not quantified how much it could increase, but the truth is that it is a positive sign for the economic strengthening”, he exposed.

However, he urged the state’s commercials to continue to abide by the restrictions and health recommendations, because the covid-19 pandemic is still active.

“It will continue to be essential that businesses abide by the guidelines that this Scenario Aespecially the issue of CO2 gauges and to be complying with the issue of distances, we believe that in the measures of being constant in this type of action, during the process in which the pandemic”, he pointed out.

Recovery

It should be noted that the state economy grew 9.3% from January to September 2021, compared to the same period of the previous year, according to the Quarterly Indicator of State Economic Activity (ITAEE), the National Institute of Statistic and Geography (inegi).

The growth that the state economy accumulated in the first three quarters of the year was the product of the 0.7% drop in the first quarter, as well as the 24.5% advance in the second period and the 7% growth in the third quarter.

In that period, the secondary activities –with sectors dedicated to mining industry, manufactures, building and electricity– grew 15% annually.

Tertiary activities – which includes commerce, services, among other branches – advanced 6.3% in annual terms.

However, primary activities –which include agriculture, animal husbandry and exploitation, forestry, fishing and hunting– decreased 4.7% compared to the same period of the previous year.
