Increase the number of users interested in your credit history

In the last year and because of the financial crisis generated by Covid-19, the number of users interested in reviewing their credit history increased significantly, since more and more people want to know their credit report and know their score, he said Mauricio Gamboa, general director of Buró de Crédito.

In a meeting with the media, the director indicated that this means that people are beginning to be more aware of their score and the importance of taking care of their record to access better financing.

In this sense, the director attributed this increase in the consultation of the credit history of users as a result of the pandemic pushing many services to be solved digitally, one of them consulting their rating on the credits they have and use.

“We did see a marginal increase, in the end if you enter the page or download the app, the result is the same, it allows the user to see their credit report. Specifically, people did care more about their credit and it is reflected in their history, “he said.

He highlighted that during the highest months of the health contingency, users were careful and more cautious when using credit than in other times

Similarly, the director revealed that they also detected an increase in the number of subscribers to the “Alertas Buró” program, which alerts users when there is a change in their credit report.

Asked about the increase in the number of inquiries, the director of Buró de Crédito considered that the people spending more time at home had more time to read and understand this document in detail.
