In Photos: A Deluge of Rain, Landslides and Floods Forces Evacuation Orders in BC

Rescue teams will focus on two roads in British Columbia where vehicles may have been swept away by landslides during torrential rains that began Saturday.

Witnesses reported seeing mud-struck vehicles west of Vancouver on Highway 7 near Agassiz on Sunday.

Drivers who stopped on a slide on Highway 99 between Lillooet and Pemberton on Monday also reported that the vehicles were engulfed when a second slide occurred about 25 miles south of Lillooet.

There have been no reports of deaths or missing persons.

Environment Canada says between 11 a.m. M. On Saturday and 11 p.m. On Monday, 24 communities in the province received more than 100 millimeters of rain, with Agassiz, Chilliwack, the summit of Coquihalla and Squamish exceeding 200 millimeters and Hope receiving the majority with 252 millimeters.
