Middlesex OPP reports that Komoka Provincial Park is closed to the public to facilitate a sudden death investigation.

It is unclear when the park will reopen.

Emergency services were called to the park on Gideon Drive in Middlesex Center shortly after 2 p.m. Monday, in response to a report of a sudden death, the OPP said.

The name and age of the deceased have not been released. Police said an autopsy will be conducted on Tuesday.

Police have not provided any information on the circumstances surrounding the death, but said “further updates will be released when they become available.”
