The fire in the apartment block in the center of Solsona led to the evacuation of one hundred residents, 79 residents of them from three nearby buildings located in the Plaza del Camp and Paseo del Pare Claret. The flames completely burned one floor on the second floor and several more floors were affected by the temperature and water of the extinction. No personal injury occurred. The 21 residents affected were moved with family and into the Gran Sol Hotel, on Manresa Road, according to the Solsona City Council. Finally, the occupants of the three adjoining buildings also had to relocate.

One of the evicted neighbors, Àlex Huerta, explained how early Sunday morning he was watching television and when he went to sleep on the couch, there was an explosion. “The windows were opened, the TV fell and it was full of fire,” he told ACN.
