The project of Budgets of the Generalitat collects, among other aspects, the salaries and salaries of the ‘president’ and from rest of the members of the Catalan Executive. In most cases the increase is the expected 2% for public employees, although in the case of the ‘consellers’ the increase is more modest.
The head of the Government, Pere Aragonès, will receive next year, if the accounts go ahead, a total of 132,855.82 euros, which will mean an increase of 2%. The ‘president’ agreed to lower his salary by 15% last summer and went from 153,235.20 of his predecessor Quim Torra to 130,250.60 euros, through a decree to update public salaries with an increase of 0.9%, given that the 2020 budget had to be extended.

The salary increase for ‘counselors’ and ‘counselors’ it will barely reach 0.3%, up to 117,827.7 euros. The Secretary General of the Presidency, Núria Cuenca, will receive the same as in 2021, 117,452.94 euros, as well as similar high positions as Secretary of the Government, director of the legal cabinet, the Institut d’Estudis de l’Autogovern and chairman of the Legal Advisory Committee.
For their part, the secretaries and general secretaries will experience an increase of 2%, up to 93,905.40 euros, as well as similar positions such as sector secretaries, general director of the Police, General Controller or president of the Catalan Authority of the Competition. And the directors and general managers, an increase of the same proportion, up to 90,008.98 euros.
