Reactionary speeches work because they are created for us to understand: they are superficial, they do not demand anything in return, They are comfortable and do not ask you to modify anything but to take a very simple attitude: that of complaining, that of shaking off all responsibilities, that of pointing out your neighbor … that of feeling like a superior being. In times of crisis it is even easier to face dissatisfaction, hopelessness, anguish and disaffection generalized, because we have a greater disposition for the simplicity of the story.
