Gertz and the spoiled Lozoya failed AMLO

It was necessary for the journalist Lourdes Mendoza to spread some photos on her Twitter account where Emilio Lozoya Austin appears having dinner with some people in a luxurious CDMX restaurant so that the popular outrage generated by his arrogant behavior forced President Andrés Manuel López Obrador and to the Attorney General of the Republic, Alejandro Gertz, to stop consenting to it.

Because if a criminal has been consented to by the system, it is who was the CEO of Pemex from December 2012 to February 2016.

Despite the serious accusations against him, that he fled the country after an arrest warrant was issued against him and had to be extradited to Mexico from Spain, AMLO and Gertz decided that he should face his trial in freedom so that In this way, he gathered the evidence that demonstrated the corruption of Enrique Peña Nieto, the former Secretary of Finance and Foreign Relations, Luis Videgaray, and former legislators who allegedly bribed to pass the 2013 energy reform.

Lozoya received privileged treatment from the moment he got off the plane that brought him from Spain on July 17 of last year. 45 years old at the time and without ever presenting any health problem, from the Mexico City International Airport he went directly to the Angeles del Pedregal hospital where he spent 15 days for allegedly suffering from anemia and esophagus problems.

He left the hospital on August 1 and a few days later the judge in the Odebrecht case authorized him to face his process in freedom, to wear an electronic location bracelet, not to go outside the limits of CDMX and to appear every 15 days to sign. in court. It is reported that to celebrate his freedom he organized a party in one of his houses to which one of his friends brought three bottles of a French wine that costs 25,000 pesos each, wine that perhaps passed without damaging his delicate esophagus.

Not bad for those who finally confessed that they received bribes and fled the country.

From August of last year until last Wednesday, Lozoya had not been imprisoned because time and again he asked for extensions to be able to dedicate himself to collecting the evidence that supports the accusations he made against several officials of participating in various acts of corruption, especially that which promoted Odebrecht, including former presidents Salinas, Calderón and Peña Nieto; the former secretary Videgaray; former presidential candidates Ricardo Anaya and José Antonio Meade; the former director of Pemex (from November 2017 to November 2018) Carlos Treviño Medina; former senators David Penchyna, Ernesto Cordero, Francisco Domínguez Servién, Salvador Vega Casillas, José Luis Lavalle Maury, Francisco García Cabeza de Vaca and Miguel Barbosa; the ex-governor of Veracruz, Javier Duarte; the contractor Juan Armando Hinojosa and even the journalist Lourdes Mendoza herself.

The day before yesterday Lozoya appeared in court and requested another 60 days to continue collecting the evidence, but, finally, the FGR decided not to continue consenting to him. The popular outrage generated by Lourdes Mendoza’s tweet was stronger than the presidential desire to consent to whoever was supposedly going to deliver the heads of his adversaries on a silver tray.

Lozoya and Gertz failed AMLO.
