A part of a gas pipeline near Luhansk, one of the main cities in the Ukrainian breakaway region Luhansk People’s Republic, It caught fire late on Friday after an explosion, Russian news agencies reported, citing correspondents on the ground.
The gas pipeline was hit by “a powerful explosion”, the Interfax news agency reported, citing a local supplier of natural gas.
Later Interfax reported a second explosion in Luhansk.
