From the hand of HSBC, the government of Tlaxcala will receive payments via CoDi

From the hand of HSBC, the government of Tlaxcala you will now receive service payments through CoDi, the platform digital collection developed by the Bank of Mexico (Banxico), which only requires having an account linked to the cell phone to carry out the transaction by reading a code Quick Response (QR).

According to the bank, by using CoDi, citizens will now be able to pay their taxes, duties, products and local government benefits, without the need for cash.

“The government of Tlaxcala, through the Finance Secretary, incorporated the use of CoDi as a means to receive payments of different taxes, rights, products and uses, transactions that are mostly made in cash and bank windows ”, highlighted the financial institution.

He highlighted that some of the advantages of this payment alternative are: that it does not generate any commission for the taxpayer or the state government; prevents the citizen from handling cash; and, as the reconciliation is automated, the transaction is reflected immediately and notified to the local administration, a process that by other means usually takes between one and two days.

In the same way, the bank pointed out, when paying with CoDi, citizens can release their faster processing; It prevents you from traveling from the collection office to the bank windows; and you will only have to scan, from your bank’s mobile application, the printed QR in the generated payment format, and subsequently authorize it.

HSBC specified that payments made with CoDi and / or in any of the other collection channels available to the citizens of Tlaxcala (window, ATM, depositing machine, internet banking and referenced SPEI), are immediately reflected in the system, which leads to a faster process release.

“The adoption of CoDi as a means of payment will allow the government of Tlaxcala to join the new technological trends, innovate its treasury processes and improve the automation of processes that previously had to be done manually,” said Carlos González, executive director of transactional banking. HSBC Mexico and Latin America.

Work is being done to integrate it into vehicle procedures

Meanwhile, Lorena Cuellar, governor of Tlaxcala, said that her administration works to migrate and increase digital services that provide citizens with faster and better means for all the procedures they require.

“Work is being done to integrate CoDi into vehicle procedures of the private service, in order to provide this means for the benefit of citizens,” he said.

HSBC added that other states that have already incorporated CoDi into the collection of taxes, duties, products and uses are Sonora and Coahuila.
