The number of COVID victims in the Raptors increased this morning.
Guards Fred VanVleet and Malachi Flynn have been placed on NBA health and safety protocols, making them the fourth and fifth members of the roster now affected by the coronavirus, the team announced Tuesday.
VanVleet and Flynn join Pascal Siakam, Dalano Banton, and Gary Trent Jr. on protocols. It could be at least 10 days.
The Raptors, who signed three players Monday to 10-day contracts, are scheduled to play in Chicago on Wednesday night.
Toronto has already postponed two home games this season, last week against Chicago and Monday against Orlando after neither team was able to dress the league’s minimum of eight players for the game.
There was no immediate word on the fate of Toronto’s game in Chicago.
