The leaders of the European Union agreed on Monday to partially ban the export of Russian oil to the 27-nation bloc, the chairman of the Council of the EUCharles Michel.
“This covers immediately more than two-thirds of Russia’s oil importscutting off a huge source of funding for their war machine,” Michel wrote on his Twitter account.

The leaders also decided to exclude the largest Russian bank, Sberbankfrom the SWIFT system and ban three other Russian state broadcasters, he added.
