After a devastating couple of days of record rain, southern British Columbia was finally treated to a mostly dry day on Tuesday.
Flooding continued in low-lying areas like the Sumas Prairie region near Abbotsford due to the remaining water still flowing towards the coast, but the rain stopped for the most part.

Wednesday is also expected to be dry across the entire south coast, allowing crews to continue rescues, cleanups and assessments.
The next outbreak of precipitation arrives Thursday morning for coastal regions. But very little rain is expected, less than 5 millimeters before the system moves on Friday morning.
Other good news: Conditions are expected to remain cool. This has limited significant snowmelt in the mountains. Also, any additional precipitation on Thursday is expected to fall in the form of snow.

The southern interior will also remain dry through Thursday, with afternoon highs reaching just above freezing.
Much of that region will receive gusts in the morning, changing to rain or wet gusts in the afternoon. Minimal accumulations of precipitation are also expected.
