4 sent to hospital after school bus accident in Burlington – Hamilton | The Canadian News

A driver was sent to the hospital after his vehicle collided with a school bus in Burlington, Ontario. Wednesday morning.

Halton Regional Police (HRPS) say the crash happened around 8 a.m. in the westbound lanes of Dundas Street, west of Brant Street.

“The male driver who struck the bus was rescued by the fire department and has since been taken to hospital with serious injuries,” HRPS spokesman Steve Elms told Global News.

Nineteen students and a driver were on board the large transport. Three of the students were sent to the hospital for “precautionary reasons.”

Dundas Street heading west on Brant Street is currently closed with no projected reopen time, according to police.
