“Do not be thinking about aspirations to govern the state of Mexico if first you do not leave the schools of this country in decent conditions that have a roof, that have light, that have waterproofing. First things first and foremost is to give good results and combat the educational backwardness, before sighing at another electoral issue, “the legislator told him.

In response, the head of the SEP acknowledged that “it has been a duty, not only to students, parents, teachers, schools, for a long time.”

However, he stressed that the schools have been attended thanks to the parents and that if there was this neglect, “there was that lack of empathy towards what was needed as an institution and that, I say, unfortunately right now we all have to be recognizing, because it is the product, indeed, of that neglect that it had for many years. And I do not comment on it as a justification, but as a context, “he said.

Meanwhile, for the PAN, the deputy Esther Mandujano Tinajero recalled that 2.3 million children and young people did not return to the classrooms for health reasons of their own or their parents and 2.9 million did not return for economic reasons for the current school year, for what he asked the head of the SEP about what has been done so that the students remain in the classroom.
