The case tally only includes people who received PCR tests at government screening clinics. It does not accurately reflect the number of cases since it does not include the results of home rapid tests.

The number of people in hospital dropped to 2,447, the lowest it’s been since early January. Of those who were newly admitted, 26 per cent were not vaccinated.

Three fewer people were in intensive care compared with yesterday, for a total of 181 patients, which is the lowest it’s been in more than a month.

On Friday, some 33,859 people received their third dose of a COVID-19 vaccine. Forty-seven per cent of Quebecers aged five and older have now gotten their booster shot.

Additionally, 885 children between the ages of five and 11 received their first dose of the vaccine.
