A six-year-old child suffered serious facial injuries Monday morning after being attacked by a dog in the Outaouais.
The event occurred around 11:15 a.m. in the Lake Teeples area of La Pêche. The kid was allegedly attacked in the face by a dog belonging to family friends.
The victim was transported to a hospital to treat serious injuries, but there is no fear for his life, said the police department of the MRC des Collines-de-l’Outaouais.
As for the dog, the police have placed him in quarantine where he will be assessed by an animal behavior specialist.
