Arrest for murder of a 23-year-old man in Long Branch

A 36-year-old man was arrested in the deadly shooting last month in a Long Branch neighborhood.

Toronto police say the man accused of killing Adrian Hurley was taken into custody on Friday.

Zachary Barton of Toronto is charged with first degree murder.

He is being held pending a bail hearing.

Hurley, 23, was found shot to death in Thirty Ninth and James Sts. – south of Brown’s Line and Lake Shore Blvd. W. – shortly after 6 am on August 27.
