Apple’s new iPad mini has 4GB of RAM and will likely be the second iPad on an empty stomach

It has come to light that the new iPad mini has 4GB of RAM, indicating that it is likely to be Apple’s second fasting iPad behind the iPad Pro M1.

For context, the previous iPad mini only included 3GB of RAM. This is the same amount of RAM that still appears on the entry-level iPad that Apple just updated alongside the new mini.

I must clarify that we have not tested the new mini yet, so we cannot say with certainty that it is faster than the iPad Air. Still, it’s a pretty safe assumption considering that both tablets pack the same amount of RAM, the mini comes equipped with Apple’s new A15 Bionic chipset and features a smaller screen with fewer pixels.

This should be more than enough RAM to do just about everything, including high-end mobile games on the go. It is worth noting that this is also the same amount of RAM that is featured in the iPhone 12 and iPhone 13.
