Antònia Font is already back. The Mallorcan group, which in 2022, nine years after announcing its dissolution, will publish a new LP and will return to the stage, has officially started its new stage this Friday with the dissemination of the video of the song ‘Un minut stroboscopica’, the first preview of his next album.
Despite the time elapsed, both sound like lyrical imaginary that displays ‘One minute strobe’ are perfectly recognizable, as if this long parenthesis had not existed. To reinforce this sense of continuity, the video for the song, directed by Antonio Lara, introduces some nods to the group’s previous albums.

The members of Antònia Font -Joan Miquel Oliver, Pau Debon, Joan Roca, Jaume Manresa and Pere Debon- announced last summer their intention to work together again and to resume a career that was interrupted in 2013 after nine albums that made the Balearic group one of the unavoidable references of pop invoiced in Catalan.
Primavera Sound 2022
The band’s return to the stage after a decade of absence is one of the great attractions of the poster for the next edition of the Primavera Sound festival (It will be June 11). In addition to that concert, Antònia Font has programmed for the moment three other performances: June 18 at the Mateu Cañellas de Inca sports center, July 9 in Valencia (it is a space yet to be specified) and October 15 at the Palau Sant Jordi in Barcelona.
Among the first reactions that the publication of the new song by Antònia Font has aroused (overwhelmingly positive) stands out for its enthusiasm that of the President of the Balearic Government, Francina Armengol, who has expressed his joy from his official Twitter account: “I got goose bumps listening to you again. The new single from Antònia Font is here!”.
