Álex Palou has been proclaimed champion of the IndyCar in the race developed in Long Beach. The rider, born in 1997 in San Antonio Vilamajor, has thus become the first Spaniard to achieve this title. The young man could be up to eleventh position to win the award, but given the poor performance of his direct competitors, he certified his championship with 15 laps to go. In the absence of the race, Palou is already champion.
