The first-quarter profit was established on a turnover of 12,000 million euros, an increase of 15% year-on-year, and “essentially reflects the increase in deliveries of commercial aircraft”, the group said in a statement.

Between January and March, Airbus deliveries totaled 142 aircraft, compared to 125 in the same period last year.

The helicopter branch delivered 39 aircraft in that period, the same number as last year, although its turnover increased by 7%, due “to the growth of its service activities,” the report continues.

Sales of its military and space sector rose 16%, thanks to a contract with Eurodrone.

“Our forecasts for 2022 remain unchanged, although the risk profile for the rest of the year is revealed to be more difficult due to the complexity of the geopolitical and economic context,” Airbus CEO Guillaume Faury said, quoted in the statement. .

The group expects to deliver 720 commercial devices this year.
