As of November 1S t – 30th 2021, Heads Up for Inclusion (HUI) will organize a 30 Day Kindness Challenge Fundraising to support their Amigos programs and in celebration of World Kindness Day on November 13.thand Giving Tuesday, an annual day of global generosity celebrated on November 30th, 2021.

After a challenging year and a half for many, HUI wants to remind others how powerful a simple act of kindness can be.

Over the course of 30 days, HUI challenges Peterborough / Nogojiwanong residents and their supporters to take purposeful action every day to spread kindness.

All of this will be done while challenging others to participate and / or help HUI reach its fundraising goal of $ 3000 to support the Amigos Programs.

HUI provides a list of 30 acts of kindness for adults and children that participants can use as a guide or inspiration, which will be available on their social media accounts.

Founded in 2001, Heads Up for Inclusion uses the power of relationships to create positive and lasting change in the lives of young people who face barriers to inclusion, as well as in their peer mentors and in their communities. Research shows that friends make an important contribution to a person’s health and happiness, and that inviting people with disabilities ‘to’ strengthens our community.

To date, thousands of young people in Peterborough / Nogojiwanong City and County have benefited from developing meaningful relationships with their peers, leading to greater social inclusion.
