Samsung has officially unveiled its Tile-type Bluetooth tracker during its ‘Galaxy Unpacked 2021’ event on January 14.
The Galaxy SmartTag uses Bluetooth technology to connect with nearby devices. Like other trackers, it features a hole that allows it to be easily attached to a keychain. The tracker can be used to keep track of things like wallets, keys, headphones, and more.
The device pairs with a smartphone via Samsung’s SmartThings app. The application will display the last known location of the tag on a map. Once you find the tag, the app will show you an indicator based on the signal. Users can also click a button for the label to make a sound.
“Even offline, Galaxy Find Network can use the scanned data to find it privately. And it’s easy to scroll through a history of where the tag has been to track it. You can also use other devices you own to locate your items, ”says Samsung.
A pack of two SmartTags costs $ 65.99 and a single tracker costs $ 39.99 in Canada.
