YouTube has taken down a video uploaded by the Capitol Storming Inquiry because it showed, without context, former President Donald Trump discussing fraud in the 2020 election without evidence.

This parliamentary committee has been investigating for almost a year the riot of January 6, 2021, when supporters of the former head of state invaded the Assembly on the day of the certification of Joe Biden’s victory.

The one withdrawn by the Google platform included an interview where the Republican billionaire assured that votes intended for him had been given to Joe Biden, without notes in the video or in the caption to indicate that it was a lie or that there is no evidence to support this charge.
“Our Election Integrity Policy prohibits content that includes false claims that fraud, error, or glitches changed the outcome of the 2020 U.S. presidential election, unless appropriately contextualized,” recalled Ivy Choi, a spokeswoman for the service contacted by AFP.
“We apply our rules equally for everyone and we removed the video posted by the channel of the commission of January 6”, she added.
