Ottawa police say one person died after a slide accident.
Police say it happened on the Mooney’s Bay waterslide around 3:20 p.m. Monday.
They say that a young man involved in the accident was taken to the hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries.
Police say the victim’s family has been notified.
They say the sledding hill at Mooney’s Bay has been closed due to security concerns until further notice.
Anyone who witnessed the accident and did not speak to officers on the scene is asked to contact the police.
