THE MANY FACES OF WAR

Many Ukrainians aren’t fluent in the English language, but most can speak in broken English that we can understand. The faces of this war-torn country make us realize not many words have to be spoken to get the message across. From the old to the very young, the facial expressions tell a story understood no matter what language you understand.
The separation from loved ones is as heartbreaking as when the Nazis separated children from mothers as they disembarked the trains and entered the concentration camps during the Second World War. The immediate isolation is devastating with memories that last forever.
We all recall in the past and present observing the adds on television for Oxfam and UNICEF and the children with sad faces and tears. Disturbing also, but for altogether different reasons.

It all provides us with the realization that, although we live thousands of thousands away, that love thrives throughout the world for the ones we love. Hopefully, the not too distant future provides opportunities to become functioning families together.

Re: Lies at their door; uOttawa researchers studying disinfo got first-hand look at their subject when ‘Freedom Convoy’ came to town, March 6
While University of Ottawa professionals embark on some sort of truth quest, as good a place as any to start is Global Research, a website that has come under international scrutiny for peddling foreign disinformation and ties to Russia.
I certainly don’t have enough brain power to sift through Global Research’s website to find out what is true and what isn’t, but, interestingly, retired uOttawa professor Michel Chossudovsky is the editor.

Many probably will, but, I, for one, won’t be hanging on to every word written or spoken by professionals from uOttawa.

COAL THE REAL PROBLEM
The world is being troubled by a war-monger nation, Russia, that has invaded a free, democratic country it wishes to overtake and dominate as part of its communist dictatorial regime.
Sanctions on oil and natural gas from Russia have produced a world shortage that has initiated a dramatic price increase, which has produced a jump in the use of dirty coal. Coal use has decreased in western democratic countries, and much cleaner oil and natural gas have replaced the dirtiest of all fossil fuels.
Canada has been a leader in carbon capture in producing and using this carbon for manufacturing building materials.

The present Liberal government has demonized this great, tax-generating industry for Canada and has brainwashed much of our population against its qualities and needs.
Hopefully, these drastic fuel needs will be recognized and respected since renewable energy presently only provides a fraction of the entire world requirements.
At this present time, we need more nuclear energy, rather than weapons that will destroy the world long before climate change that has been on our prime minister’s mind since taking power in 2015.
Hopefully, the elimination of dirty coal will finally take precedence as the real problem staring many of our leaders in the face for years.
