York cops seize $ 1 million worth of drugs: two people arrested, third wanted

Two Markham people face numerous drug trafficking charges and a third is wanted after $ 1 million worth of drugs and $ 350,000 in cash were seized in a raid by the Regional Office of Arms, Gangs and Drug Enforcement of the York Regional Police.

The investigation began in July after agents received information about an alleged drug trafficker.

This information ultimately led the York Regional Police to execute multiple search warrants at locations in the York, Toronto and St. Thomas region on September 29.

Among the significant amount of drugs seized are 6.3 kilograms of MDMA, 1.5 kilograms of ketamine, more than 830 grams of methamphetamine, 620 grams of cocaine, 59 grams of fentanyl, approximately 9,000 MDMA pills and 51 pounds of cannabis harvested.

Zhen Hao Song, 35, is wanted on seven charges after a suspect fled the scene during one of the search warrants.

Otherwise, Yang Zhao, 29, and Jing Katrina Xu, 35, face eight and six counts respectively.
