Woman hit by subway at Yonge station after being pushed onto tracks


A woman is in serious condition after being hit by a subway train at Yonge Station, police say.

Toronto police say a woman was pushed onto the tracks as the subway train was approaching, and was hit by the train.

She was rushed to the hospital but was conscious and breathing when taken from the tracks.

Police say the suspect is a white female, wearing a pink and gray hat, a black puffy jacket, a gray hoodie and black pants with a red bag. She was last seen on Bloor Street going westbound on foot.

Police are still searching for the suspect.
