Winnipeg woman charged with arson in summer fire that destroyed partner’s home, police say – Winnipeg | The Canadian News

A Winnipeg woman is in custody and is facing charges in connection with a fire last summer in Boyd Avenue.

The incident took place on the morning of June 2 at a multi-family home. Although no one was injured in the fire, two residents were inside at the time, and the fire caused about $ 60,000 in damage.

Police said the fire at the building – where the suspect’s partner lived – was deliberately started.

The 34-year-old suspect was charged with arson with contempt for human lives.
