Winnipeg man dies after pickup collides with semi-trailer – Winnipeg | The Canadian News

A 51-year-old Winnipeg driver was killed after his truck crashed into a stopped semi-trailer on the South Perimeter Freeway.

Police say that on September 17, just before 8 p.m., the driver was traveling east in his pickup when he collided with the semi-trailer that was stopped at a railroad crossing.

According to the police, the driver of the van was pronounced dead at the hospital, while two occupants of the semi-trailer, a 22-year-old and a 23-year-old, were not injured.

The RCMP Central Traffic Service and a forensic collision reconstructionist are investigating the incident.
