Windsor woman charged with fleeing OPP in stolen vehicle

At 8:22 p.m., the Essex County OPP observed a suspicious vehicle on County Road 20 in Harrow. An officer determined that the vehicle had been reported stolen from Windsor and attempted to stop it.

The vehicle hit the road. Police then used a tire deflation device on the vehicle, which resulted in a flat tire, but the driver has yet to stop.

The vehicle was seen entering Leamington with a flat tire and was involved in an accident shortly thereafter.

A woman got out of the vehicle and tried to flee on foot. The police arrested her without further incident.

Jessica Desbiens, 29, is charged with fleeing from a law enforcement officer, theft of a motor vehicle and dangerous operation of a motor vehicle.
