Environment Canada has issued several wind advisories for much of southwestern Alberta.

Strong and damaging winds with gusts of more than 120 km / h will continue throughout Saturday, although the agency said the wind should subside at night.

Affected regions include Brooks, Strathmore, Vulcan, Cardston, Fort Macleod, Magrath, Crowsnest Pass, Pincher Creek, Waterton Lakes Nat. Park, Lethbridge, Taber, Milk River, Okotoks, High River, and Claresholm.

According to a press release, high winds can throw loose objects or cause tree branches to break. Environment Canada said be prepared to adjust your driving to changing road conditions due to high winds.
