Here’s a partial list of what will be open or closed during Easter weekend in Montreal:

Espace pour la vie installations, which include the newly opened Insectarium, the Biodôme, Botanical Garden, Planétarium Rio Tinto Alcan and Biosphere, will be open throughout the long weekend. The city strongly recommends purchasing tickets online in advance.

The city of Montreal’s sports and cultural centers will keep varying hours set by individual boroughs throughout the weekend. People are advised to contact specific centers for schedule information.

Montréal libraries will be closed on Sunday. Montrealers are asked to consult individual schedules online for the rest of the weekend.

Access Montreal service counters will be closed from Friday to Monday. Many municipal services are available online.

The collection of garbage, recycling and compost will be carried out according to regular borough schedules throughout the long weekend.

For exo trains on Friday, the Vaudreuil-Hudson line will operate on Sunday hours, the St-Jérôme will operate on weekend hours, and the other lines will not operate at all. Regular schedules summarize Monday. Regular thrips for Exo’s adapted transit line are canceled unless otherwise indicated by the client for medical trips.

Most Canadian Post offices will be closed on Friday and Monday, but those inside other businesses may operate according to those business hours.

Most malls will be closed on Sunday.

Most large grocery stores in Québec will be closed on Sunday. Smaller stores are permitted to stay open.
