The Inglewood Night Market returns for the season on Friday, promising 135 vendors, live music and a beer garden. The all-ages market is also a pet-friendly event and features three pet-specific vendors.

Despite the title of the event, everyone is welcome at the Men’s Expo. It is a fair that showcases sports, wellness, fashion, automobiles and more. There will also be live wrestling and beer and liquor samples. $1 from every ticket sold goes to prostate cancer research.

Calgary Reads Big Book Sale

The Calgary Reads Big Book Sale celebrates its 20th anniversary this weekend. The event is so popular that you must schedule a work appointment to go the first two days. There will be more than 175,000 books for sale, and most will cost less than $5.

Where: Calgary Curling Club

When: Friday and Saturday, from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. by appointment. Sunday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., no appointment necessary

Otafest is a celebration of anime and Japanese pop culture, and it’s so popular that Saturday was already sold out. There are still tickets available for Friday and Sunday. The festival will feature anime screenings, cosplay contests, special guest performances, and more.
