The West Island Assistance Fund (WIAF) is recruiting volunteers to help organize and administer its spring and summer collective garden program in Roxboro. A 73 year-old Haitian woman living in Pierrefonds diagnosed with Alzheimer’s disease would benefit from visits at her home. She speaks English, French, Creole and German and would like to go on walks and have conversations. She is a retired school principal and is very sociable.
