KITCHEN –

Waterloo Region officials announced Thursday that they have opened approximately 11,900 appointments for third doses of the COVID-19 vaccine.

In a tweet, they said appointments would be available at two locations: Bingemans Conference Center Clinic between December 27 and December 31, and Wellesley Clinic between January 3 and January 31.

Depending on the region, around 11,000 of those locations will be added at Bingemans, while the remaining 900 will be at the Wellesley Clinic.

Both clinics will administer Moderna injections for anyone 30 years of age or older, while Pfizer-BioNTech will be reserved for people between the ages of 5 and 29.

They are asking anyone interested on these dates to book in advance on their website.
