Wall Street falls at opening weighed down by Amazon; Nasdaq is headed for its worst month since 2008


The nasdaq led the declines of the main indices of wall street Friday morning as Amazon’s disappointing quarterly report put pressure on stocks, pushing the tech index to its worst month since 2008.

At the open, the Dow Jones Industrial Average fell 129.4 points, or 0.38%, to 33,787.01 points, the S&P 500 it lost 33.7 points, or 0.79%, to 4,253.75 units, while the Nasdaq Composite fell 161.1 points, or 1.25%, to 12,710.416 units.
