Volaris announces 10 new routes for AIFA and six for Toluca International Airport


Volaris painted the Mexican Tourist Market purple this Tuesday by announcing 10 new routes from the Felipe Ángeles International Airport (AIFA) and six more in the Toluca International Airport (AIT), starting next July.

The director of the ultra-low-cost airline, Enrique Beltranenaunveiled its connectivity strategy in the metropolitan area of ​​the Valley of Mexico.

The guest of honor was the Secretary of Tourism, Miguel Torruco, who celebrated the announcement of the upcoming connectivity of Volaris, a company that has a 43 percent market share in the country

“The metropolitan area represents a potential of more than 30 million passengers who will benefit from the redistribution of air supply with closer airports,” Beltranena detailed.

The routes that the airline will incorporate are:

  • From the AIFA: Puerto Vallarta, Mexicali, Acapulco, Huatulco, La Paz, Los Cabos, Oaxaca, Mérida, Guadalajara and Puerto Escondido.
  • From Toluca International Airport: Tijuana, Puerto Vallarta, Guadalajara, Huatulco, Cancun and Los Cabos.

The new flights from Toluca International Airport will start in July and those of Felipe Angeles International Airport between August and September. At the second airport, it currently flies to Cancun and Tijuana.

Among those attending the announcement were those in charge of tourism in Oaxaca, Yucatan and the State of Mexico, among others.
