Various Sask. restaurants fined for violating COVID-19 public health orders | The Canadian News

Public health inspectors issued multiple fines to Saskatchewan food establishments in the week of Nov. 8, the Saskatchewan Health Authority said Tuesday.

The fines were the result of violations of the province’s COVID-19 public health orders.

Two corporate fines of $ 14,000 were issued to A&W and Bluez on Second, two businesses in Unity, Sask. – for not asking clients for proof of vaccination or a negative test. Additionally, a $ 2,800 ticket was given to one person, at the time, for not wearing a mask.

Two corporate fines over $ 14,000 were issued at two separate Tim Horton locations in North Battleford, Sask. for not requesting proof of vaccination or proof of negative test.

A $ 14,000 fine was awarded to the Chicken Chef in Esterhazy, Sask. for not following COVID-19 detection protocols.

The SHA added that three people were fined $ 2,800 each for not wearing the mask while at Oasis Roadhouse, a restaurant in Pangman, Sask.

A person in Outlook was also fined $ 2,800 for not wearing a mask. The SHA said this fine was related to a complaint received on September 20.
