Vancouver Weather: Rainy and blustery


There is more soggy weather on the way for Metro Vancouver Thursday, but there should be some sunny breaks Friday afternoon.

VANCOUVER, BC: Thursday, May 12. Today’s weather is expected to start out with a good chance of showers then switch up to rain, with wind and a high of 10 C, according to Environment and Climate Change Canada. The agency also says the rain should become lighter in the afternoon. Overnight, expect showers with a low of 8 C and then the region may receive a little bit of sunshine on Friday before another long stretch of gray weather. The forecast calls for a mainly cloudy day, with a good chance of showers in the morning, and then possible sunny breaks later on, and a high of 12 C. Looking ahead to the weekend, Saturday should be overcast but dry and then there will likely to be more rain on Sunday, highs of 15 C and 16 C, respectively. Then, next week is expected to start out cloudy on Monday, followed by possible showers on Tuesday and Wednesday, highs of 14 C all three days.

Tonight: Showers ending after midnight, then partly cloudy. Wind west 20 km/h gusting to 40. Temperature steady near 8 C.

Tomorrow: Mainly cloudy, with a 60 per cent chance of showers in the morning. High 12 C. UV index 5 or moderate.
