The Warriors used a 7-1 run through the second and third quarters to battle their way to a 17-11 victory over the new National Lacrosse League team from Fort Worth, Texas, on Saturday at Rogers Arena.

Vancouver (3-3) ended a three-game losing streak before an advertised crowd of 7,483, which was sparked by a College Night promotion.

They also posted a season-high goal total after being under control last week in a 9-4 loss to the Colorado Mammoth in Denver.

Jones was injured preparing for practice before that game and did not play against the Mammoth. He was re-evaluated after returning to Vancouver and it was confirmed that he had a broken bone in his foot. The left-handed forward, who was eighth in the league in scoring before being withdrawn, underwent surgery on Wednesday.
