In a prepared statement, VPD spokesperson Const. Tania Visintin said the gang unit backed up patrol officers who were called to 777 Richards Street Friday afternoon after a report that a person was being threatened.

Visintin said that Seyed Moshfeghi Zadeh was arrested at the scene and charged with one count of threatening.

Zadeh, who remains in custody, was on the news in April in connection with a civil forfeiture case.

The BC Civil Forfeiture Office alleges that the cash and gold bars that the RCMP seized during a raid on Zadeh’s home last year were criminal proceeds.

The Telus Gardens luxury condominium tower was also the scene of several parties in January this year and August last year that circumvented COVID-19 restrictions and have led to another civil forfeiture case in which the government is dealing to seize the condo where the party took place. .
