The US Department of Justice announced Wednesday that Twitter will pay a $150 million fine as part of a settlement to settle a lawsuit that alleges the platform provided its users’ phone numbers to advertisers.

Musk raises direct contribution to buy Twitter

Elon Musk raised the sum contributed directly by the businessman and his partners for the purchase of Twitter to 33.5 billion dollars, further lowering the amount of bank credit.

Musk, who had initially underwritten $25.5 billion in loans, reduced those loans to $13 billion, according to the filing filed on Wednesday by the US Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), considerably lightening his financial burden.
