UPS and FedEx suspend their delivery services to Russia and Ukraine


The American companies United Parcel Service Inc (UPS) and FedEx Corp.two of the largest logistics companies in the world, have declared that they are suspending the delivery service to Russia and Ukraine due to the Russian invasion of their neighboring country.

For its part, the German logistics company Deutsche Post DHL it said it had temporarily suspended shipments to and from Ukraine and was avoiding Ukrainian airspace for its global operations.

Both inbound and outbound services have been suspended in Ukraineas well as deliveries to destinations in Russiathey said UPS and FedEx in online statements seen on Sunday.

So much UPSbased in Atlanta, as FedExbased in Memphis, had said on February 24 that they were suspending services to Ukraine in the face of the invasion.

It was unclear whether the two companies continue to use Russian airspace as part of their overall operations. None of them immediately responded to requests for comment.

DHL’s statement did not mention whether its operations in Russia had been modified, and questions seeking clarification were not immediately answered.
