Confirmation Monday of individual cases of COVID-19 at two local Catholic elementary schools has led to the dismissal of individual classes and bus cohorts.

Students and staff at Stella Maris Catholic Elementary School in Amherstburg and St. Anne French Immersion Catholic Elementary School in Walkerville were notified Monday of individual confirmed cases at each school and actions led by the County Health Unit. from Windsor-Essex.
Students in one class, as well as a cohort of buses in each of the schools, have been instructed not to attend classes on Tuesday.
The health unit will notify those students when they are allowed to return to school.
The health unit staff is communicating with any person, staff and students, who may have been affected and is giving them instructions.
“We want to assure parents that we are cooperating with the health unit and doing everything possible to ensure we continue to provide a safe and healthy learning environment for their children,” said a statement from the Catholic board.
