Two road workers injured by vehicle, one critically, in Highway 25 accident


Investigators are currently on the scene to piece together the circumstances of the accident.

Two people have been taken to hospital following a roadwork accident early this morning on northbound Highway 25 near Sherbrooke St.

The workers were injured when a minivan knocked them over while backing up, a Sûreté du Québec spokesperson said Saturday. A 911 call was placed around 5:15 am

One of the individuals is in critical condition, the SQ said. The employees were marking lines on the road when they were hit.

Investigators are currently on the scene to piece together the circumstances of the accident.

Northbound Highway 25 is closed this weekend between Exit 90 and the Sherbrooke St. entrance due to work on the La Fontaine tunnel.
