Ontario Provincial Police have charged two adults in connection with an assault in Leamington this week.

At around 10:45 p.m. Monday, the Leamington OPP responded to a reported assault on Oak Street East.
Investigators determined that a person was assaulted by strangers and then threatened with a “sharp weapon” while inside a vehicle, police said Friday. The author was able to escape, seek medical attention and contact the police.
Two suspects were identified and arrested.
Elias Chavira-Gonzalez, 32, of Essex, is charged with assault with a weapon, possession of a weapon for a dangerous person and making threats to cause bodily harm.
